As most of you suspect, the video camera is something that we own but whose footage rarely makes it online. I'm a camera kinda gal, but my husband likes his toy and hoards video like a fiend! :) Here are some photos taken almost two summers ago (2012) when my in-laws came to visit us in Napoli. After spending much of our time in the south, we went up to Rome for a few days and spent a whirlwind day in Vatican City. As a non-religious couple, it wasn't on my "must-see" bucket list, but I'm so glad we went. The art and culture and history here is just mind-blowing!
The Vatican Museums take hours and hours and hours to go through. If you plan on going, allow yourself almost a full day!

Let me show you how to position a large breed for a leg vein blood draw! Side note: I am so lucky I didn't set off the Vatican Museum alarm system!
A small portion of a painting by Salvador Dali. The Vatican Museums don't just deal in antiquities - they contain much "modern" art from 1850-present. Many famous artist's pieces are here.

I know, it's amazing... Very humbling to be amongst such grandeur!

Out for dinner in Rome later that evening!
I am so lucky to have this man to travel the world with!
