Zurich, Switzerland

Zurich, Switzerland!  We finally made it up north to Zurich to meet up with an acquaintance of mine, a woman who is a very dear friend of my sister, and who I have met on several occasions in San Diego.  She lives in Zurich with her boyfriend and their two cats and two dogs.  We had such a great time!

 After a long day in which D was pickpocketed and lost his wallet, we finally made it to the house hours after we had intended to be there.  P had a delicious traditional Swiss dinner set out for us and lots of good wine.  What a night!

The windows of this church were all different art pieces.  Many were made by thin slices of stained gemstones.  Neat!

 In Summer this is a grass field for lucky cows.  In Winter it's one heck of a sledding hill for local kids!

 We went to a Vietnamese restaurant that night called Chez Nhan and we got Bun Xao!

We loved Switzerland!  I'm really bummed that we probably won't have time to go back before we PCS.  We will make it back someday!  :)
