Thanksgiving!

I'm so thankful for our Napoli crowd - they really make the loneliness less palpable.  It's so great to spend time with people who speak your native tongue and understand your customs.  It was kind of odd for me to have the Thanksgiving spirit yesterday and to have the world around me going on as normal!  Every Italian I saw wished me a happy Thanksgiving, but it's just not the same having the world's workweek go on as normal!  :)

Anyway, we joined our good friends for Thanksgiving dinner and had a great time.  The house was festive and excited, just the sort of holiday spirit I needed.

E with his amazing creation - a turducken-hen!  Cornish game hen inside a chicken inside a duck inside a turkey... Impressive!

Buda "helped" in the kitchen beforehand, as I was making green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and a ham!

This is unfortunately what happens when you fall asleep after turkey.  We break out the acrylics!
